At Lockonego we have been creating beautiful hair since 2005 and are firmly established as an SW London favourite.
Founded by Jonathan Long and Ben Cooke, the salon has been shortlisted in the past for the Best Salon of the Year award and Best Salon Experience in the UK. At Lockonego the emphasis could not be more simple; our focus is you and every client is treated like they are part of the family.

Jonathan & Ben
Jonny
As co-founder of Lockonego, Jonny’s eye for cutting is unparalleled. After managing several high-profile salons in London, he decided it was time to do it himself and with co-founder Ben Cooke at his side opened Lockonego in 2005.
Since then the salon has gone from strength to strength being shortlisted for many national industry awards. With a clientele ranging from sports stars, celebrities and musicians to MP’s and Hollywood royalty, Jonny’s inimitable style and care for his clients has made him a man in demand for his welcoming chat and high-end finishing.
Alongside his many editorial commitments for Uniqlo and Audemars Piguet and never wanting to be someone to stand still he recently launched the hugely successful grooming product line ‘Saunders & Long’ which, with mentions in GQ, Forbes and many others is proving to be a hit both in the salon and online at Mr Porter.
Jonny continues to be the driving force behind the Lockonego brand, working closely alongside Ben and Antony to ensure the future is bright for the thriving company.
Ben
As Co-founder of Lockonego Ben’s reputation for effortless glamour has helped him establish an enviable roster of clients over the years. From the Beckhams to Nicole Scherzinger and Carey Mulligan, Bens approach is the same on shoots as it is with the clients in the salon, to make them look and feel ‘fabulous!’
Starting in London and working alongside some of the biggest names in hair Ben quickly carved out a name for himself within the industry.
Bens down to earth approach has won him a legion of salon fans making him one of our most in demand stylists. Commercially Ben has enjoyed a successful partnership with Beauty giants Proctor and Gamble since 2006 working closely with the brands various sub brands.
In between shooting campaigns for brands such as Next and M&S and travelling the globe working with elite photographers for publications like Marie Claire, Red and Harper’s Bazaar Ben can be found in the salon on alternate Saturdays and Mondays
Antony
Having studied at Central St Martins London School of Art, Antony left and immediately began an apprenticeship in Hair with one of London’s top salons quickly qualifying and working his way up to management level and opening a new branch. During his time there he worked on a global campaign for a start-up designer as well as being a finalist in many Industry awards for companies such as Wella, L’Oreal and American Crew.
Upon leaving he worked for another well-established brand in British Hairdressing but was also pursuing more educational and editorial work eventually leaving the salon to work full time for American product brand Unite, overseeing their European education and travelling globally to teach at shows and seminars.
His inimitable approach to teaching caught the eye of Redken where he carved out a career merging Salon Business with Hairdressing Education. It was here he met his old friend Jonny Long and put the wheels in motion to join Lockonego as Creative Director.
His editorial work has graced the front covers of Esquire, GQ, working alongside David Gandy for his M&S autograph collection and campaigns for New Look and Urban Decay and working on. He has also worked with some of the biggest names in Fashion and working on shows in London, Paris and Milan. With a clientele ranging from Royalty to Pop stars, Antony also runs a busy column whilst overseeing all education and development within Lockonego.
He specialises in cutting and styling and the self-proclaimed ‘Bob Boss’ loves nothing more than creating great hair and attention to detail for all his clients.
Jeremy
Jeremy began his career in Melbourne working at many high-profile salons in the city before owning his own string of hair salons in the area.
After feeling the need to see the world he decided to sell the business and move to London after following an opportunity with the product company Aveda. He has worked with many celebrities over the years from Uma Thurman to Piers Brosnan, on speed-dial to sports and TV stars alike.
With his rich experience in salons. Jeremy has fine-tuned an array of specialist skills which include Men’s barbering, Women’s bespoke colouring and cutting and is also one of our go to stylists for a Keratin straightening treatment.
Jeremy’s easy going character and relaxed nature has made him a highly regarded member of the Lockonego team and any visit to him will leave you feeling and looking your best by utilising his in depth knowledge and understanding of how to look after you and your crowning glory.
Lisa
Lisa began her career as a Saturday girl in Clapham whilst studying for her GCSE’s and knew she wanted to be a hairdresser from that moment on! Upon leaving school she immediately began her apprenticeship specialising in colour.
She joined Lockonego in 2007 and quickly showed just how proficient in colour she had become. Training under some of London’s top colourists Lisa became the speed dial sylist for precision foils and colour correction work. More recently her signature precision foil techniques have been the buzz of the Kings road and she’s since become extremely popular in amongst our loyal clientele.
A real colour genius… she has completed both her Wella Master Colour Degree and her Redken Colour Degree with the highest honours. Lisa’s gentle manner and friendly approach makes any visit to her a special one.
Anna
After starting her career in the late 80’s in world renowned Punk salon Antenna Anna knew she had found her true passion. Working with icons such as Boy George, Marc Almond and Tracey Ullman she lived and breathed the music industry.
After leaving there she trained at Vidal Sassoon in Mayfair to add more traditional, classic hairdressing techniques to her arsenal of skills. Working in various West end and Chelsea salons until settling at Lockonego over 13 years ago.
Annas approachable style of hairdressing and her way with clients has created for her a loyal following, a Great Lengths Extension specialist title as well as holding a Senior Stylist and Technician expert status here at Lockonego.
Leslie
Leslie began a career in hairdressing at 13, learning from the best to become an expert in Afro Caribbean and European hair. He quickly carved out a loyal clientele from London and beyond becoming a senior stylist at 18.
An expert in silk press his aim is always to ensure the hair is left looking healthy, shiny and full of body.
Leslie’s Weaves provide a professional installation of extensions giving a flat,seem-less finish which looks flawless.
His experience has given him great knowledge on Afro Caribbean hair and can advise and guide his clientele on how to make sure their hair remains in a healthy condition in and out the salon.With a artist eye Leslie can ensure the style which is created will suit each client at the highest possible standard. With a positive mindset he is able to listen,understand the clients needs and then execute!
With a unique eye, a passion for hairdressing and a creative flair which is unmatched Leslie has quickly become the go to stylist in Chelsea for Afro Caribbean hair.
When not working in the salon Leslie enjoys philosophy,reading,working out,cooking and travelling with his mantra being “there is never a problem, always a solution”
Anna-Marie
A colour specialist with over 25 years experience in the industry Anna-Marie brings with her a wealth of knowledge.
After running her own salon group for a number of years Anna-Marie decided to step away from her businesses to concentrate on raising her family whilst also working for major hair product companies such as L’Oréal and Paul Mitchell
Anna-Marie‘s focus is primarily on colour and her balayage and bespoke colour placement allows each client to feel looked after as an individual. Using her degree in Colour she also is the go to colourist for corrective work.
Paula
Starting her career in Brisbane in the late 80’s with one of Australia’s leading industry names Paula was cutting and styling hair on stage for the Hair Fashion Council in Australia.
She backpacked around Europe and taught English in Prague after studying teaching at University. And started back hairdressing in 99 in London Kings road working on shoots and event work for film premiers.
Joining Lockonego in 2005 Paula brought a strong and loyal clientele with her, testament to the quality of her work and the trust her clients have in her. Since then she has worked on seasonal collections for the brand, trained and mentored junior members of staff and had work published in Industry leading publications.
As well as delivering discreet hair services to members of the British Aristocracy.
Paula is a specialist when it comes to classic occasion hair and has worked closely with many brides to create their hair for their big day. Her work in Fashion Weeks and current trends in styling has made her the go to for clients wanting their hair styled for events. Proficient in all aspects of hair Paula ensures every client leaves the salon feeling cared for.
Holly
A Northern girl at heart Holly began her career studying Hair and Makeup at a top London University. It was during her time there that she joined Lockonego having realised hair was her passion.
She began her apprenticeship in 2017 showing early on a raw talent for all things Hair. She worked hard qualifying with honours to become a Technician at Lockonego in early 2019. Since then her column has gone from strength to strength with her down to earth and approachable attitude to hairdressing.
Holly goes the extra mile to ensure each client leaves the salon looking and feeling amazing after an appointment, with her signature cut and colour finishes. Hollys young and vibrant clientele reflects her own style and love of fashion and beauty.
Daniel
Daniel’s career began at the age of 15, which later led him to join and become the protege of Nicky Clarke. Daniel was entrusted with the private care of Royalty & celebrity clients. Over his career Daniel has worked across the US where he styled fashion muses, Hollywood A listers and the glitterati alike, including Karen Elson, Erin O’ Connor, Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell. Back in the UK Daniel is a media favourite working on ITV’s This Morning
makeover segments for 5 years and X-Factor.
Daniel’s ethos is to personalise and recognise the beauty in each woman, an approach that captures the essence of unique glamorous and soft wearable hair. Disciplined with his work, Daniel also heavily believes in strong foundations to create the tresses that are
adored by women. His drive for perfection of technical cutting are enlisted to create the perfect finish; coupling glamorous hair underpinned by technical excellence.
More recently, Daniel was requested by Cara Delavinge to travel personally on her film tours and TV appearances around the world. Daniel was the former Global European Art Director for Unite hair products and has worked with Guido on fashion shows from London to New York including Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Prada & many more. Earning the status of celebrity hairdresser, some of his clients include Kate Beckinsale, Rachel Weis, Anna Friel, Patsy Kensit, Sophie Anderton & Lottie Moss to name a few.

Ellie
After a career in fashion buying Ellie decided to pursue her dream of becoming a hairdresser starting at a local salon, she fully committed to her future and relocated to London to do her training at Lockonego.
Ellie quickly progressed through intensive training to build a consistent colour clientele. Her focus is always the client with an attention to detail, her low maintenance natural colour results are already becoming a firm favourite among Chelsea’s younger crowd.
Specialising in colouring and styling you can guarantee every visit to Lockonego with Ellie will feel it will leave you feeling and looking great.
